D-topia

D-topia is a narrative puzzle adventure set in a futuristic residential community managed by an artificial intelligence known as the Optimization System. Players take the role of a newly appointed Facilitator whose responsibilities include maintaining the community's automated infrastructure while assisting its residents with personal and social concerns. As the story unfolds, the game explores themes of happiness, purpose, and the relationship between humanity and artificial intelligence.

Gameplay combines exploration, dialogue, and logic-based puzzles. Mechanical problems are resolved by completing a variety of grid- and number-based puzzle challenges integrated into the game's environments. Outside of maintenance duties, players interact with the residents of D-topia, learning about their individual circumstances through conversations and making decisions that influence relationships and the direction of the narrative.

The game takes place over a series of daily routines in which players alternate between work, exploration, and social interactions. In addition to its bright public spaces, players can access hidden maintenance areas beneath the community to repair system faults and uncover information about the inner workings of the utopian society. Player choices affect the wellbeing of the residents and influence the outcome of the story.
