Escape from Dinosaur Island

Escape from Dinosaur Island is a point-and-click adventure game. Players start out trapped on a dinosaur theme park situated on a small island in the British West Indies, where the prehistoric creatures turn out to be real. The objective centers on reaching a boat dock for escape, which requires moving through locations such as a gated entrance, an abandoned car, a restaurant, the Park Center, and a maintenance tunnel while contending with threats including a roaming T-Rex and a patrolling ranger.

Gameplay proceeds through point-and-click interactions to navigate in cardinal directions, examine scenery, pick up items, and use or combine them on objects. The game incorporates instant-death traps, such as falling off a cliff or being devoured by the T-Rex if approached incorrectly, along with cryptic clues. Developed by Sea Side Studios under Laszlo Safranyik and released as freeware in 1996 for Windows 3.x, it wraps up in roughly ten to fifteen minutes and spawned a sequel titled Return to Dinosaur Island.
