Ether One

Ether One is an exploratory adventure game where the player takes on the role of "The Restorer", an employee of Ether. You are placed within the mind of a patient with dementia, and your job is to explore her mind and gather together her fractured memories, with the purpose of healing them. These memories are represented within the game as red ribbons that are scattered around the town of Pinwheel. As you move about the town, you can opt to just collect the ribbons and move on, or explore more deeply to solve puzzles and learn about your patient's past.

Within the patient's mind you are only able to hold one inventory item at a time, but you can teleport to a hub area called "The Case" where you can store items and this serves as a method to transport around the patient's mind. The memories you manage to restore are also available to review from within The Case.

The game is fully voice-acted and has background music. It is presented from a first-person viewpoint and the graphics have a realistic but painted quality. There is no combat within the game and no platforming.
