Powerstar

Powerstar is a science fiction-themed text adventure with graphics for the 8-bit Atari.

In the 21st century, all electrical power in the United States is generated by a single huge nuclear fusion reactor, the Powerstar, placed in orbit safely away from living things and saboteurs. The power is then transmitted directly to local communities by means of a vast array of microwave transmitters.

Unfortunately, the one man crew of the Powerstar seems to have had a bad bout of cabin fever, and the only message from him in the last week consisted of a facsimile of a Jack Daniel whiskey bottle label. The player is the alternative engineer for the Powerstar, and the government has summoned the player to active duty to save the vital Powerstar.

All commands are via VERB NOUN entry. The player moves between areas with the N, S, E, and W commands. in each room, the player can rotate in four separate directions to see other areas of the room. There are a total of 10 game slots. Maximum score is 216 points.
