Scooby-Doo!: Jinx at the Sphinx

Scooby-Doo and the gang go to Egypt as tourists and to visit Velma's cousin who turns out to have disappeared. A mummy is scaring visitors and you must help them find clues in the Sahara desert as to what is happening in this mystery edutainment adventure. Kids need to think and use problem-solving skills such as researching, using deductive reasoning, and logical analysis. Scenarios will have different outcomes every time you play. There are also 3 difficulty levels: Spooky! is easy for ages 5-6, Spookier is medium for ages 7-8, and Spooktacular! is hard for ages 9-10. There's 25 fully interactive areas to explore, with up to 35 clues per game and 7 per suspec but some will be false leads. When you solve puzzles and complete activities, you will get clues. The animations are similar to the tv cartoon with cutscenes and an original soundtrack.

Choosing difficulty level. Yes, the "Spooktacular" image is of Scooby holding Shaggy (but it looks less ancient and stylish with the figures shown in detail). (Windows) from mobygames.com
Velma's cousin Thelma, an egyptologist, disappeared at the pyramids. Here's the "gang" looking at a picture of her. (Windows) from mobygames.com

As usual, the team ran into the local monster - the mummy. They look much better running against this beautiful backdrop than against the "generic" intro backdrop. (Windows) from mobygames.com

Papyrus Pizza... But no, I won't "let" Scooby and Shaggy go there yet, first we need to collect something essential for playing - Scooby Snacks! (Windows) from mobygames.com
The Dog in the Red Fez... ;) Scooby must collect as many fruits as he can. (I thought Scooby Snacks were... dog biscuits or something?...) (Windows) from mobygames.com

Really, these games often remind me of Humongous Entertainment... But they have a lot less of these little animations found by clicking stuff. Here there are two, on some screens there are none... (Windows) from mobygames.com
This ancient map looks quite confusing, its carbon-and-tissue copy will be much more clear. (Windows) from mobygames.com
We only get to explore this room once Daphne gets lost, earlier there's nothing interesting there. (Windows) from mobygames.com
Scooby and Shaggy go bobsledding in a sarcophagus... ;) (Windows) from mobygames.com
...of course, screaming all the way. ;) It kinda reminded me of the mine cart ride in "Pajama Sam 1", except that Sam was less frightened. ;) (Windows) from mobygames.com
Weigh down these barrels with fish to lift the captain to the deck. (Windows) from mobygames.com
It looked like a sailboat of a type essentially unchanged for centuries, and here we have relatively modern machinery. (Windows) from mobygames.com
The area with the obelisk. Now there's nothing to find there. the team needs to return after having copied the map. (Windows) from mobygames.com
Finding one of the suspects - Starry Skies, a ufologist. (Windows) from mobygames.com
In fact I did this puzzle wrong first. It should have been from TALLEST to SHORTEST, but I didn't even pay attention. ;) (Windows) from mobygames.com
Scooby and Shaggy admire the pizza (and are very disappointed that clues have priority). (Windows) from mobygames.com
Play the arcade game to get a piece of the medallion. (Windows) from mobygames.com
A "Simon Says" type puzzle - play a melody with the bottles. (Windows) from mobygames.com

We first met Joseph at his souvenir stand, here he's at his other shop. Is he capable of bilocation (and not just instant disappearance), or what? ;) (Windows) from mobygames.com
I was disappointed with this memory minigame. It would have looked much more beautiful if the rugs remained on the stand once paired - it would allow having all patterns visible at one. (Windows) from mobygames.com
Finally! The team managed to find Thelma. (Windows) from mobygames.com
In this game we have, in fact, six clues. And, unfortunately, no descriptions of suspects. (Windows) from mobygames.com
Starry looks quite cute as a defeated mummy. ;) (Windows) from mobygames.com
The "gang" leaves to new adventures! (Windows) from mobygames.com
