The Book Of Unwritten Tales 2

The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 is the sequel to The Book of Unwritten Tales and its prequel, The Critter Chronicles. The game was funded by a crowd funding campaign through Kickstarter.

A magical plague is taking over the human world, while the gnome mage Wilbur Whethervane is starting his new position as a teacher in the mage school and the elf princess Ivo finds herself ill for the first time in her life. Meanwhile, the pirate captain Nate and his sidekick Critter try to steal a magic artifact while mysterious forces seem to be conspiring against Arch-mage Alistair. The group eventually teams up once again to stop the magical plague and to save the world from destruction. The game uses classic point-and-click adventure game mechanics.

This scene doesn't make sense: Turgator is transformed to pink kitsch after Nate's return from the sequence with the djinn and collapsing jetty. (Windows) from mobygames.com
A botany book in Elfburrow's library. One of the best screenshots in the whole game, and it follows a pattern I like: "a view in a different style every now and then". (Windows) from mobygames.com
Find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow (and without an Irish leprechaun). ;) (Windows) from mobygames.com
One of several inter-game references. In the dark village (act 5), you can also find a more general parody of the RPG genre. (Windows) from mobygames.com
After Master Markus moved out, his magic school and the inn were merged into one premises - a new, larger inn for the people who flow into Seastone once the war ended. (Windows) from mobygames.com
And this is the inn from the inside. Don't we know this two-headed ogre from the previous part of the game? (Windows) from mobygames.com
Wilbur can use this pre-war postcard from Seastone to travel faster between different sections pf the town. (Windows) from mobygames.com
Zombies from the previous game have also made their home at the underground junkyard. (Windows) from mobygames.com
Check out Shieldhand's new uniform: Chantal van Buren seems to have forced him to wear an outfit a la "Alice in Wonderland". (Windows) from mobygames.com
Normal view of the library. The troll didn't want to let Ivo in, so she had to use the "fireplace travel powder" - it makes the fire colder and green and allows teleportation between fireplaces. (Windows) from mobygames.com
The queen seems to have had good intentions, in a way... and yet it broke her daughter's heart. (Windows) from mobygames.com
The bounty hunter turns out to be a female gnome - and gnomes seem to have different views than humans about what interests are appropriate for a girl. :) (Windows) from mobygames.com
Inside the mayor's house and store, currently the only inhabited house in the dark village. (Windows) from mobygames.com
A view inside the castle in Dark Woods. (Windows) from mobygames.com
The final interactive sequence. By the way - this is one of the games which still seem to just scream "Sequel!"... (Windows) from mobygames.com
