The Carson Stiles Gateway Theater has been closed for years following a series of murders. You have been invited by mail to its grand re-opening. What follows is a first-person horror adventure that sees you investigate the haunted theater and uncover its secret past.
The Filmmaker attempts to capture the classic B-grade Hollywood movie look and feel, with appropriately cheesy music and voice-acting. As well as walking around the theater, you are drawn inside several movies during the course of the game. Most of the game revolves around typical adventure game puzzles, a combination of inventory puzzles and standalone logic puzzles.
