Doc Apocalypse
You play as Lewis, renamed to 'Doc Apocalypse' by college friends, a what strange scientist with many successes and achievements: among many smaller projects he also worked on an almost complete device what enables you to stop earthquakes, a time machine that allows one to travel into the future for twenty seconds, and the Cloud Buster, which was practically complete. He had to deal with practical problems like testing and improving to make reliable machines that weren't dangerous to operate.
It has been gone terribly wrong already one time: during a test of a earthquake-controlling machine he witnessed his wife Jenny, also a scientist, dying in an explosion. Since that day the pain grows every time he sees in his son's eyes the look of Jenny, his son's mother.
Now Doc Apocalypse is working on a new experiment with the time machine but unfortunately something goes terribly wrong again... The last thing Doc Apocalypse was able to observe before the monitor signal was lost were gigantic shadows and vague swarms.
During the experiment a portal seemed to have appeared without any logical explanation and terrible creatures had crossed over and started exterminating the populace. The army had responded with the only resource that would do the job: nuclear bombs, creating an Apocalypse.
Here is where your mission starts: go back in time, right before this experiment, and warn yourself in order to prevent the Apocalypse...
The game is played as a classic point-and-click adventure. Players guide Lewis a.k.a. 'Doc Apocalypse' through different scenes and you can interact with objects and character. You can have conversations with characters, examining the scenes and interact with objects. Gathered items get stored in an inventory near the bottom of the screen. Some items might also be combined. The puzzles are based on interaction with the environment and it's objects and by having conversations with the characters. You cannot die in this adventure game.
