The Smelly Mystery

The Smelly Mystery is a game using Mercer Mayer's "Little Monster Private Eye" license. One night during a sleepover at Yally Yallapaphous's house, the usual gang of Little Laff, Ickky, Jerry Bombanat, Errg, Yally and Little Monster are having fun. However at night the smells of the food in Yally's refrigerator are switched around with each other. Shortly afterwards, the smells of all of Monsterville have been switched. Clearly there is something strange afoot. Little Monster and his assistant, Detective Kerploppus will need to discover the true identity of the evil smell switcher, and stop the smell switching once and for all.

The Smelly Mystery is an interactive children's storybook as well interactive mystery solving game. Players must help Little Monster, looking for clues on each page of reading interactive storybook. When clues are found, they are stored in a log and can be matched to the six suspects, identified by what their favorite things are, and by footprints and handprints.

The game features five options at the menu. The "Play" option is the main option, allowing players to read the story and play the mystery game. The "Read" option, only reads the story with no interactive playing, The "Page" option lets the player jump to any page of the book, view credits play demos of other games. The "Mugs" option is a face-building that can be played with a difficulty of easy, medium, and hard, and can be timed. And finally the "New" option resets the game, restarting the mystery with new clues to implicate a new suspect.
