Zak McKracken Goes Looking for Hot Coffee (in several wrong places) is an adventure and fangame based on Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders. It features an inventory and the game can be controlled via mouse. It is set between the original game and the fangame Zak McKracken: Between Time and Space. The backgrounds are mainly taken from Zak McKracken: Between Time and Space with some new locations.

The player controls Zak McKracken, a tabloid reporter owning the newspaper National Infiltrator. In a news report on the TV is said that there is a global shortage of coffee beans and therefore of coffee. Later during a dream Zak encounters signs of the caponians and therefore decides to track down the cause of the coffee shortage.
